Grandstream Warranty Terms & Conditions

Warranty Coverage

Hardware Warranty. Grandstream hardware products sold will be free from defects in workmanship and materials under normal use and service for the period(s) hereunder.  If it appears that any product or part thereof contains a defect in materials or workmanship, and the distributor returns the product to Miro distribution within the warranty period, Miro distribution shall, at Miro distribution’s option, repair such defective product or part or swop out an equivalent product or part to replace such defective item as long as the product or part thereof meets the published product specifications. 

Software Warranty. Grandstream licensed software programs will perform in substantial conformance to the applicable program specifications during the warranty period set forth under warranty period.  The media containing the software is warranted against failure and that it is free from defects in materials and workmanship.  The Software is warranted that any protection feature designs will not intentionally be introduced to prevent its use
It is further acknowledged that software in general is not error-free and the parties agree that the existence of such minor errors does not mean it does not perform in substantial conformance to the applicable program specification. It is explicitly acknowledged, for the avoidance of doubt, that VoIP equipments in general are not one hundred (100) per cent secure and Miro distribution assumes no liability under this Agreement for any damage suffered whether by Distributor or End User because of encroachments by unauthorized parties. 
Miro distribution will not be responsible for providing any updates unless Grandstream provides such updates to its commercial customers.

Warranty Period

Hardware warranty - one (1) year calculated from the system generated date of Distributors delivery note.

Software warranty - one (1) year calculated from the system generated date of Distributors delivery note.

Limitation of Warranty

This warranty does not cover:

  1. damaged or defected products or parts when caused by improper use
  2. abuse
  3. incorrect installation
  4. mismanagement
  5. normal “wear and tear”
  6. faulty storage or 
  7. by using the products outside the specifications detailed in manuals and documentations relating to the products, or outside the carrier’s conditions of carriage or other handling stipulations.
  8. units that have been opened and/or altered, 
  9. units that have been painted or defaced  in way shape or form,
  10. units that has been damaged due to errors or defects in cabling
  11. units that has been subjected to abnormal physical or electrical stress, including lightening strike, misuse, negligence, or accident, or
  12. removal of MAC Address labels
