High phone bills getting you down, but not quite ready to get rid of your phone lines?

This Siemens Gigaset DECT phone will allow you to make use of the great cost savings offered by Voice over IP technologies, as well as let you keep the use of your existing Telkom line, all the while giving you cordless mobility. Using their Dual-Mode technology, Siemens allows you to swap from internet based calls, directly to PSTN calls with the push of a button, allowing you to make the best of both worlds. The base of this telephone will also allow you to register up to 6 VoIP service providers of your choice, allowing you to make use of the best call rates at all times. Best of all, the VoIP functionality can be used without the need for a computer to be turned on, as the base station plugs directly into your Ethernet network!

This particular DECT phone also makes use of what Siemens calls ‘Eco DECT’, which allows the phone to use up to 60% less power than most standard DECT based telephones. This works by means of the phone handset and base station continuously adjusting their wireless output power, based on the distance that they are apart from one another.
